Start with the guest count — honestly
The single biggest driver of cost and choice is how many people are coming. Timing: sunset is the default for a reason

The exact departure time depends on the date — Dubai's sunset shifts by more than an hour across the year — so the operator sets it so you are on the water for the golden hour. A daytime charter works too, especially with children in the group or if swimming is central to the plan; it is usually a little cheaper and the water time is better. Catering
Soft drinks and water come with the yacht. Everything else is arranged with the operator and priced separately. The usual options:

A proper sound system is usually on board; a microphone for speeches, or a DJ, is an extra. A photographer is worth considering if the birthday is a milestone. A simple planning timeline

- —1 week out — confirm the final headcount, arrange transfers to the marina, send guests the meeting point and time.
- —On the day — arrive 20 minutes early; the crew will have the yacht set up.
